The Railroad to the West
Personal project to learn Substance Painter.
I started modeling in Blender, using images as reference and some sketches I made previously. Since this project was not intended to be used inside any engine, so for this one I didn't pay attention to the quality of the mesh and poly counts.
Simple decals I made using Photoshop to be used inside Substance Painter.
While the texture has a more realistic look and feel, I like that the model leans toward a more cartoon-like style in certain areas. This approach avoids giving the model a generic, overly realistic appearance and instead strengthens its visual identity.
